Gold Vantage terms

These terms apply when you use the Gold Vantage Android app, website and supporting services. By using Gold Vantage, you agree to follow them.

The service

Gold Vantage helps you understand jewellery quotes, record negotiations and keep a private record of physical gold. Core features can be used as a guest. Some features may require an optional account or verified Premium access.

Estimates and decisions

Price checks, market-price values, maker-fee ranges, suggested offers and value history are estimates and contextual information. They are not a valuation, assay, guarantee of purity, appraisal, investment recommendation, tax advice, legal advice or promise that a seller will accept an offer.

You remain responsible for checking an item, a seller’s terms, applicable taxes and whether a purchase or sale is suitable for you. Gold Vantage does not act for a buyer or seller and does not complete transactions.

Accounts and security

You may create one optional account using an email address you control. Keep account credentials and authentication links secure, provide accurate information and tell us through the published support route if you believe an account has been compromised.

Signing out or deleting an account does not automatically delete information stored only on your device. See Delete your account for the separate steps.

Information on your device

Vault records, photos, receipts, negotiations and settings are stored in the app’s private device storage and are not backed up by Gold Vantage. You are responsible for keeping any original records you need. Clearing app storage, uninstalling the app or losing the device may permanently remove this information.

Premium features

If Premium subscriptions are offered, the Google Play purchase screen will show the current price, billing period, renewal terms and cancellation options before purchase. Those purchase terms and applicable consumer rights govern the transaction. Premium access is granted only after the purchase entitlement has been verified.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse Gold Vantage, attempt to bypass access controls, interfere with the service, probe for vulnerabilities without permission, automate abusive requests, use the service unlawfully or infringe another person’s rights.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect users, the service or legal obligations. Device-local information remains outside our control.

Third-party services

Gold Vantage relies on services including Supabase, Railway, Google Play and optional Firebase Analytics. Their availability and separate terms may affect the features they provide. Our privacy policy explains how supporting services process information for Gold Vantage.

Availability and changes

We take reasonable care in operating Gold Vantage but do not promise uninterrupted access, permanently current market data or compatibility with every device. We may fix, change or withdraw features, and will give reasonable notice where a change materially affects paid access or legal rights.

Intellectual property

Gold Vantage, its software, visual design and content are owned by or licensed to the Gold Vantage operator. These terms give you a personal, limited, revocable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership or permit copying, resale or distribution except where law allows.

Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that, Gold Vantage is not responsible for a seller’s conduct, an item’s purity or quality, a negotiation outcome, market movements, or losses caused by relying on an estimate as a guaranteed value.

The final liability wording and governing law will be confirmed during legal review before public launch.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when Gold Vantage or the law changes. We will publish a new effective date and provide appropriate notice of material changes.
